Charles~

I appreciate you allowing the link and providing the explanation; I had attempted to submit the very question you mentioned to Pansy earlier today, actually. I'm not sure why that didn't go through; perhaps it did?

I must admit that I too was a bit struck by the similarities in our posts, with the citations and the uses of humor/sarcasm - but I will take you at your word that we were likely working on it simultaneously. I look forward to reading more of your writing, and hope you'll stop by from time to time to offer any comments you have on mine.

Cheers,
Chris

Pansy,

Thanks for the link to the We are Voting Yes story, which I had not seen before. I will add them to my RSS reader.

You're correct in pointing out that my story and their story highlighted many of the same sources, but I would note that I had sources that they did not, including the story out of Anchorage quoting Palin's press release. In addition, they cited sources that I did not find, to their credit.

The fact of the matter is that I found my material via Google after I typed in the words "Alaska" and "Supreme Court." It wasn't that hard. In addition, were you able to access the part of my site where I actually write the posts, and went to this post, you would see the following:

As you can see from that date stamp, I actually wrote this before We are Voting Yes -- or at least simultaneously. As is often the case, I draft most of my morning posts the night before. Tomorrow, for example, you'll see a post on Palin and intellectual curiosity.

In this case, We are Voting Yes beat me to publishing, which is the price I pay for saving what I think is worthwhile content for the next morning rather than late at night.

Next time I suggest you ask questions before you start accusing someone of ripping off another site. It's a serious charge and should not be thrown around so cavalierly.

You should really note your sources. This is a total rip-off of We are Voting Yes at http://www.wearevotingyes.com/2008/09/sarah-palins-supreme-failure.html

Merely because the Alaska Governor's Office issued a statement and "quoted" Sarah Palin does not mean that she ever uttered the quoted words, or even read the statement before it was issued.

Even so, since the McCain campaign insists on touting her executive experience in Alaska, it is not tto much to expcet her to recall a decision of such importance to the state that was three months old.
