Rethinking McCain’s Decision to Suspend His Campaign
Barring new developments, I think McCain lost the election today. One candidate looked presidential and one didn’t. John McCain looked just like the guy that George Will said he was yesterday. And judging by the snap polls, most Americans feel this way.
Ooh — Chris Dodd just said that this looks more like a rescue plan for John McCain than a rescue plan for the economy. Yep, that’s about right.
And the Commission on Presidential Debates says the debate will go forward.
So I withdraw my earlier observation — game, set, and perhaps even match to Barack Obama.
