Bristol Palin Pregnant
Oy vey. Now the Palin family has announced that their 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is five months pregnant. The McCain campaign is saying that they knew about it all along:
A senior McCain campaign official said the McCain camp was appalled that these rumors had not only been spread around liberal blog sites and partisan Democrats, but also were the subject of heightened interest from mainstream news media.
“The despicable rumors that have been spread by liberal blogs, some even with Barack Obama’s name in them, is a real anchor around the Democratic ticket, pulling them down in the mud in a way that certainly juxtaposes themselves against their ‘campaign of change,’” a senior aide said.
Because you know, there’s nothing better than countering rumors with a smear. This ain’t exactly the high road here, McCaniacs.
This story keeps getting weirder and weirder. That said, I would like to encourage my colleagues in the progosphere not to start looking for recent photos of Bristol to see if she “looks” pregnant.
But I’m not holding my breath.
