Palin: Miss America Organization’s Response

Here’s how the Miss America organization highlighted the selection of a Miss Alaska runner-up as John McCain’s vice president nominee:

Apparently Miss Minnesota performing at the RNC is worthy of more virtual ink than one of their former contestants getting nominated for Vice President of the United States.  No offence to Angie McDermott — I’m sure she’s a lovely person — but there’s something definitely whack about their priorities.

This reminds me of that scene in Spinal Tap where they’re playing a state fair and they see the sign advertising the gig:

Spinal Tap

Sarah Palin should take comfort in the fact that she at least got top billing.
