Picking Condi Rice would be an automatic game changer and a big nightmare for the Dems. Some say Rice can't be the nominee becaus she is too closely identified with Bush and with the Iraq War... but McCain has already brought that to the ticket. Rice on the ticket would make this the most historic election in two generations. Plus the Biden-Rice debate would be foreign policy geek heaven. Count me in!

Romney.. Tonight, Tom Brokaw said sources in the McCain camp were waving them off of Romney as the presumptive choice. This could be a feint. Frankly, I am not sure what Romney brings to the ticket. People who don't understand evangelical Christians think Romney could bring them to the ticket... but that is flat wrong. He will drive away just as many (or more) than he brings.

Huckabee.. also could be a game changer... would certainly get the evangelicals to come vote on election day (right now many may just stay home). But I think McCain knows Huckabee is not presidential timber. If he picks Huckabee, it means McCain will truly do ANYTHING to win.

Pawlenty... please. Biden would shred him. "Governor, I knew Jack Kennedy..." (Please let McCain pick Pawlenty.)

Jihndal... Hmmm... still more history in the making. Could we really have Barack-Joseph vs John-Piyush? Wikipedia says he picked the name "Bobby" because he liked Bobby Brady. So that makes me like him (really).

Hutchison... a Ferraro for the 2000's? The CW is pointing towards Kay Bailey right now. My first thought... I have never missed Molly Ivens more than I do right now!

My prediction... Romney.
