The real reason Dubya is hanging at the Olympics: babes.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you our President. Aged frat boy who hasn’t grown up? Bill Clinton wannabe? Or the leader of the free world?
His visit to the beach volleyball venue in Chaoyang Park in the city’s east was unexpected however. Both men’s and women’s teams were practising, and it was the women’s pairing of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh who eventually persuaded an initially reluctant president to try his hand. At first that was limited to the ball, which Mr Bush managed to hit twice and miss once. May-Treanor then appeared to offer Mr Bush, who later went on to make a statement about the developing situation in Georgia, to spank her bottom as a symbol of encouragement.
That last sentence has to be the non-sequitir of the day. It goes from a major international crisis to Bush playing hide the volleyball with a flirtatious gold medalist.
“Hey Misty, want to play intern when the cameras aren’t rolling? I’ll send Laura to Burma. Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh.”
Blech.
