The frequently funny, usually profane, and always brilliant Spencer Ackerman of both The Washington Independent and Attackerman is a must read.  Yes, he’s not safe for work, but more importantly, he’s Not Safe for Republicans.

His take on the latest lame attempt by the McCain campaign to explain away Maliki’s comments yesterday in support of Obama’s withdrawal timetable is dead on.  Here’s part that I can reproduce without setting my computer on fire:

[O]ver at the McCain Report, the campaign’s blog written by… Michael Goldfarb of The Weekly Standard, the top post right now is [en]titled “U.S. Military To Obama: Timetable Sends ‘Wrong Signal To Enemy’.” LOLerskates!  I guess Nouri al-Maliki just sent the wrong signal to his own enemies.

Heh.  Go read the whole thing yourself.  It’s worth your time.
